Dreams are meant for sleeping - Del 62

She turned to me and hypnotized me with the most amazing brown eyes I’ve ever seen.
“Hi...i.” I stuttered. She laughed and showed of a perfect set of teeth. “I’m Victoria.” She put her hand up and I nervously shook it. Oh get over yourself Niall, stop embarrassing yourself!

“Niall” I responded and gave her an awkward wave with my right hand.
“Why are you sitting here alone?” Victoria asked.
“I’m, um, a part of my company is down by the water” I explained and pointed. “The two others are sitting there laughing their heads of” I continued and moved my pointing finger towards the other side of the bar, where Harry and Emma cried of laughter.
“Well, now you got me as well.”
My mind went blank. I didn’t know what to say.
“Hello? Say something? Please I feel like I’m embarrassing myself here...” I noticed Victoria blushing as she spoke.
“Oh no! No I’m the embarrassing one!”
“Are you kidding?” Victoria said surprised. “You are adorable and I just stand here trying to flirt and get no response.”
“Flirting...?”
A stupid smile crossed my lips for a brief second.
“Oh I’m so glad you don’t think I’m an idiot.” I said.
“You wanna... Sit under the coconut tree over there?”
“I can’t walk really.” I started. “My knee is screwed up. That’s why I’m sitting here.”
“Oh.” Victoria sounded a bit disappointed. I couldn’t stand the sad look on her face.
“I’ve got an idea! If you’re up for it... If I can support myself over your shoulders?"
“Sure thing!”
Victoria lit up and was quickly standing next to me. I put my arm over her shoulders and stood up. Unsteadily we walked the best we could, but the sand made it pretty difficult. Our feet sank down deep and left heavy footprints behind us. Eventually we managed to get to the coconut tree. Victoria put me down nice and easy. I rested my back against the palm and closed my eyes for a bit.
“The ocean’s really beautiful tonight isn’t it?” Victoria sounded dreamy. I opened my eyes and observed the ocean. The moon shone and made the water glimmer. A seagull dived after a fish but missed its prey. I couldn’t help but feel relief it got away. The vaguely moving surface enchanted me. And I’m pretty sure it bewitched Victoria as well, because her eyes were locked on the slow, incoming waves. You could barely see them but if you looked closely you could tell small, small movements of water were on their way in towards the shore.
“Yeah.”
Victoria and I got it on well from the very start. I found out she was American and lived here in Los Angeles with her parents, as she was an only child. She was a senior at Seashell High School so she was the same age as me. She was a very sunny, bright person. She had loads and loads of questions and whenever I cracked a joke she laughed. It was really contagious and it made me start laughing as well. My Irish accent amused her to the level where she tried to do one herself. She wasn’t very good at it, and I found it hilarious. She was too cute. But she could actually pronounce ‘Thanks as Tanks’ like an Irish native. I gave her a big smile and told her I was really impressed. Butterflies in my stomach started to spread like wildfire when I talked to her. I was grateful she was a talkative person or else we might have sat here as quiet as two awkward rocks.
“So... When we’re you planning on telling me you’re famous?”
