Dreams are meant for sleeping - Del 63

I was grateful she was a talkative person or else we might have sat here as quiet as two awkward rocks.
“So... When we’re you planning on telling me you’re famous?”

I stopped breathing for a second.  She had caught me off guard. I didn’t even think about that!
“I... um...” I stuttered, struggling to form actual words.
“It’s fine.” Victoria said kindly. “I was just curious.”
“I’d completely forgotten about that!”
“You’re kidding?”
‘You make me forget everything with those eyes of yours...’  I thought to myself. I didn’t say it out loud though, I’m not crazy.
“So you know who I am?”
“Well, yes.” Victoria began. “But at first I didn’t recognize you. All I saw was a cute blonde head at the bar bopping to the beach music. I had this feeling you looked familiar, but I couldn’t really point it out. Then I remembered. You were my favorite in the “WMYB”-video.”
I blushed, and not a little bit. It was bad. My cheeks turned all red and it only made me blush even more. It felt like my face was boiling from the inside. I stared down at the ground, fighting the urge to not bury my head in the sand.
“But when you smile at the ground...”
Surprised I looked up at Victoria who had beautifully sung the line from What Makes You Beautiful. She gave me the prettiest smile, and lightly touched the top of my hand. My body shivered from the simple nudge. I looked down in the sand again, and whispered encouraging words to myself. Victoria looked out over the ocean. I slowly leaned closer to her. The nerves started to get the best of me, but I didn’t interrupt my move. I was about 12 inches away from her face when Liam came running towards us along the beach. He was struggling to pick up his pace as his feet kept sinking in the sand, slowing him down remarkably. He reached us, breathing heavily from the effort. It took a minute for him to catch his breath.
“Emma’s missing!” He managed to say, still gasping.
“What?!” I shouted out loud.
“Harry went for a wee in the bushes, and by the time he came back Emma wasn’t sitting at the bar anymore. And she’s not somewhere on the beach either. I promise you we’ve been running all over it, looking in every corner, nothing!”
I just stared at him for several seconds.
“Help me up!”
I reached out my hand and Liam grabbed it. He pulled my up on my feet. My leg was killing me, because stupidly enough I accidently supported my whole weight on it, but I didn’t say anything. That was the least we had to worry about at the moment.
“Wait wait what are you saying, she’s gone?!”
“Yes!”
Liam took me by the shoulders and shook me to make me realize what he’d just said. I felt empty. It didn’t really sink into my head. Emma, gone?
“Sorry to ask, but who’s this Emma?” Victoria sneaked into the conversation.
“Oh, she’s a friend of ours.” I explained.
“We have to look for her!” Liam sounded desperate and he looked like he was about to have a breakdown.
“First it was Harry, and now Emma?!” Liam continued with a slight broken voice, laying his head in his hands. “Why is this happening?”
I tried to comfort Liam. I held him close, and he rested his face on my shoulder, which was possible because of our height difference. I could hear silent sobs slowly drowning my shirt. I patted him on the back, whispering into his ear everything was going to be okay. Even though I wasn’t sure I believed in what I said.
